Straws made with NuPlastiQ (a plant-based resin made from starch) and hemp byproduct to offset fossil-fuel use without compromising product performance. These materials have successfully shown biodegradation in biologically active and moist conditions (ASTM D5511). Natural biodegradation varies with biological activity, moisture, environment, and can have different results and rates of biodegradation.
